EQUINE-ASSISTED PSYCHOTHERAPY

I offer Equine Assisted Psychotherapy (EAP) services at Bridle Paths in collaboration with my colleague, Katie Fallon. Katie and I are both certified through the Equine Assisted Growth and Learning Association as an equine specialist and a mental health professional, respectively.

Imagine a therapy experience where the healing power of horses becomes your guide. Engaging with these majestic animals provides a powerful experience that facilitates insights and breakthroughs that traditional in-office therapy can’t provide.

Katie and I work with the horses as a team to provide space for our clients to engage with their story in an experiential way.

No, in EAP you’ll work with the horses on the ground. There is no riding involved.

EAP is an experiential process and a lot can come up in sessions. It’s important that you are working with a therapist that can continue the work from your sessions with the horses.

Contact me as a first step. Once I talk with your therapist, we can schedule our first session.

EAP is designed to complement the ongoing work you’re doing in individual therapy. Through close collaboration with your therapist, we tailor each session to align with your unique goals and needs. You’ll take the insights gained from your EAP experience back to your primary therapist so you can work with them to process and integrate what you’ve learned and experienced.

The connection you’ll build with the horses has the remarkable ability to ground you in the present moment. Whether you’re navigating life transitions, working through childhood trauma, or seeking a deeper understanding of yourself, the horses will guide you along the way.
